Bocuse d’Or Europe OFF 2018 has been organised to welcome the Bocuse d’Or Europe – the international haute cuisine contest devised in 1987 by Paul Bocuse, the father of Nouvelle Cuisine, to promote the value and professionalism of chefs – which will be held in Turin from June 10 to 12. In this major concerted event, museums, institutions and prestigious locations in the city will collaborate with leading players in the food and wine world to make an in-depth analysis of the relationship between cooking and culture. Made up of an array of cultural initiatives aimed at the general public, the OFF programme is based on the assumption that food, hence haute cuisine, is
an expression of a local area’s historical baggage and identity. Of an idea of the contemporary world in constant conversation with other arts and disciplines with which it shares the ability to interpret the present and design the future.
